New heating system for a slab ranch
K Murphy
Member Posts: 1
I need suggestions for a new heating system. We own a 30 yr old slab ranch in MA. We currently have the original Forced Hot Air system. Heat blows from the ceiling and the floor is cold. We cannot rip up the floor for the radiant heat that we would like, would the Unico system with a boiler do the trick or should we go with baseboard?

Have you considered hydronic radiant wall panels?

High velocity systems like Unico are sized for the A/C load. If heating is desired as well you are limited in the amount to what you can get from the ducts that were installed for A/C--if this is insufficient supplemental heat is called for. In MA this is VERY likely to be your situation.0 -
Try Energy Saving Products.....
ESP is a Canadian company who make the small diameter duct systems for heating with an add on for a/c. Have proven to be a good product. Sell the heck out of 'em.
