Steamers all week long
when we got there , I dont know the make of this one . We couldn't figure a fast way to cool it down to rip it apart , and it takes hours to let it cool on its own , so we just used alot of gloves and rags . This one was nasty .

Plenty of help today
There were 4 of us to install the boiler , and 3 more of us came later to install an oil tank . We used the Burnham V84 - and once again it ran perfect , nice steady water line , no pings or bangs . I actually think the V84 with an F5 runs quieter than a V83 . And yes - another drop header . The 2nd pic is of Bob doing some work on the tank .0 -

Drop Header
This is a nice looking install. I have never seen or heard of a "drop header" before. I assume you are referring to the double els installed on top of the risers before entering the header. In this case, I am guessing that the thimble height was a limiting factor and the drop header was a way of providing clearance. Am I correct ? Is there any other reason why I might do this ?
