My dealer is putting a Vitogas 100 with a Vitocell 100 79G. I have a couple of runs that run under a porch. Gets pretty cold in winter. Several days below 0f. Has anyone had any problems putting anti-freeze in these units. Please advise.

Aunty Freeze
Is a great old gal! Use a good product made for hydronic heating, the trick is the slippery stuff, hard to pump and hard to have no leaks. So the installation has to be done right. the system has to be designed right especilly as to pump sizes to push the slippery stuff through the system. The system CANNOT be connected to a potable water system as it could possible poison someone. It should work great if those parameters are followed0 -
Could you...........
isolate those couple of loops with a HX instead of glycoling (is that a word?) the entire system? The Vitogas will handle the glycol with no problem. It's just a huge service hassle when you have to change out a component unless every piece is isolated via valves.
