direct vent opitions

i have used power vent kits for direct venting of oil fired units and found they do a excellentjob but i looked at one thats making me think i breaks all the local codes on direct vent for any application mainly the only place i can vent it is by a walk way / out door patio of a rental 2 family the existing chimmey is wasted not lined and in real disrepair i probaly could pull a large insulated chimmey liner down it but then i would have to clone myself to get alot of work done fast the venting sceniro is a 70 year old arcoliner oil hot water boiler with2 40gallon hot water heater vent into this beauty of a chimmey the owner has a 11 to 13 grand chimmey job aside from the private walkway patio being all the windows and doors are within code for direct vent or a power assisted unit which i perferr thanks for all and any advice short of passing the job up thanks

you are in the business of making a living for yourself. Put that first! Can you afford to do the work and extensive repair needed in the time alotted while letting other quicker jobs go unattended? Will you get your time's money worth out of the job. This is what contracting is all about. sometimes "Goodby" makes more money!
