Tell me what you think would be the best retrofit low water cut off for the boiler in the pics..I think it's a Watts 101D, let's see what everyone else thinks. I am a one man show with no one else to bounce ideas off or get ideas from so I will consider you guy extended and welcome company.
Thanks in advance,
Rich

Is that a Texaco/Dunkirk 13 series? The easiest would be a probe type in place of that Watts. Why is the auto feeder not wired in?0 -
yes
It is an old Texaco Fuel Chief...Here is how dumb I am!! I do a lot of sub work for some companies in my area who are afraid of steam..So anyway this company calls me and says go here and install this..pretty simple feeder. However I trusted them and installed the feeder then when I went to do the wiring thought to check and sure enough it's a 24v feeder. So in the meantime the bell went off in my head and I checked the cut-off..N/G so now I am in a real bind trying to save their "face" and trying to help a customer at the same time...I wich they had given me the VXT feeder I like those better. But anyway I have been reviewing my options and I am not sure I can unthread that cutoff without re-piping. so I am looking for options. As far as the feeder goes It will stay 24v now!! That will be the LAST time I do that..from now on I am going in like no one was ever there before!! If there is one thing I have learned over the years its that eventually everyone makes mistakes, it's what we do with them after rhat that makes the difference.
Thanks,

M/M makes one that will go where old one is..............
What I do is to cut off old unit and then make two cuts of whats left in boiler and it will pop right out. Or you could replace with M/M #67 @ sightglass. P.S. What ever you do remove old one and plug or replace it. We're doing one Friday that was changed by others who left the old unit in and now two years later it's leaking bad.John@Reliable0
