If you overheat a sweat copper fitting it changes color..gets darker. Have you ruined that fitting? Should it be chopped out and replaced? Why is it darker? Some sort of chemical transformation? Is it vulnerable to some sort of early failure? Thank You!

As far as the solder is concerned you've stuffed it but the copper itself is ok. be soft thats all guess you could resolder it but they're so cheap why would you bother. The change in colour is just oxidation.
We use silfos here which melts on when the copper is red hot and flows into a joint by cappillary action.0
