Dining Room Radiator

Checked the link mentioned above (Boston). They have a pantry radiator with an asking price of $2,000. Of course in the very good words of "Pork" in "Gone With the Wind", "Askin' ain't gettin'".

If you're interested in one identical for much less, let me know...

Anyone out there have one they're willing to sell for a good use? Style unimportant as it will be the oddball in the house anyway.

It's the only way I know to win a battle. Other wants me to build-in the dining room radiator--I don't want to because I want the radiation. The warming chamber would make this a moot point as it couldn't be built in (or at least I could say so).

Don't run into these very often! The last one I saw was in an estate in Wilmington, Delaware. The contractor wanted to convert it to hot water, but realized it really wasn't doable. He installed it anyway and built a recessed convector in behind it to provide the heat while the old one provided "the look"! Here is a picture of what you are looking for for those that have never had the opportunity to see one. Have you tried any of the used radiator sites such as the one below? Hope this helps.

Only place I've ever seen one (other than working systems)was on eBay. It was in rural New York state and they wanted it gone NOW. Didn't want to wait for me to get a break and drive there and couldn't find a firm to crate/ship from their location. I always check out likely places when I travel and have yet to see one.

Thought someone might have one stashed awaiting a good home. Would really love to put a new bronzing job on one of those old beauties!

Haven't checked the internet companies though.

    There's a classic...

What? Burnham doesn't have a mold for that radiator? I bet the "This Old House" types would pay megabucks fo a beauty like that! Thanks for sharing the pix!
