cold radiator

Admittedly, I don't know what i'm doing. I wanted to add a radiator on my enclosed porch. I have a hot water system. I don't know what its called, but it has a pump and the hot water leaves the boiler in a large pipe and returns to the boiler in a separate large pipe. One pipe comes off of the "in" pipe and one comes back to the "out" pipe for each radiator in the house. Most of them are 1" diameter pipes. I added a loop to the porch radiator using 3/4" pipe coming off of the "in" pipe and returning to the "out" pipe. the total length of the loop may be as much as 35 feet. I bled the radiator and removed the air. There is at least enough water pressure to spray water out of the bleeder valve. Once the bleeder is closed, though, the radiator never gets warm. Neither do the pipes leading up to it. Is it too far from the main? Is the 3/4" pipe too narrow? Is there some fix for this? Any help would be appreciated.

    piping radiator

EJP, form your description, it sounds like your mistake was taking your new piping off the 1" pipe. These are not tne mains but runouts to the radiators. If you traveled 35 feet from the main, it's no wonder you can;t get that rad to heat up. There simply isn't any flow. I'm afraid I've got to echo what is said on this site sooooomany times...hire a professional heating contractor. There are simply too many factors to consider when doing this kind of job. Hire it done right.
