    How well does an electric water heater work with radiant and how do you size this

    It can work well if installed properly, but is generally used for small heating loads where a boiler would be too large. You need to match the input rating in BTUs of the heater to the heating load.
    Just remember two things: it's a water heater not designed for use as a boiler;check local codes to make sure you can do it with an electric heater

    there are approx...

    3.4129 btu to a watt...therefore in a regular 4500 watt element expect about 15,300 btu...kpc

    also make sure you can afford to run it.
    Electric in our area is between 4-5 times more $$$$$ per btu, than oil.
