Sorry to hear about your problem with the burnham boiler. It is unfortunate but in Burnhams defense I will say that they have gone way beyond what most people would expect to resolve this.

Burnham usually deals with the installing contractor and the cost to the customer is minimal. They have spent a lot $$$$$$$$$$$$ to resolve this issue. I give them credit for that.

    Burnham V7 problem.

My Burnham V7 series water boiler has cracked after only 5 years of service. I have seen multiple posts on this and other HVAC related forums that indicate there was a casting problem leading to this failure. I have contacted Burnham. They are willing to replace the defective sections but cover only minimum labor money for an expensive job. At this point I'am very dissatisfied about Burnham's position. What options can anyone suggest?

Did you talk to Burnham directly?

I had an intersting experience when i dealt with a local wholesaler. A fellow contractor told me to call Burnham directly. The situation was resolved favorably.

One of Burnham's best hangs out here

He is Glenn Stanton, who manages training for Burnham. E-mail him at gstanton@burnham.com and tell him we sent you. He should be able to get this straightened out.

  • Regarding your boiler

I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having with your V7 boiler. Please e-mail me with the complete Model number and Serial Number of this boiler so that I can first determine if it is a hot water boiler or steam boiler and when it was installed. With this information I will be able to have someone contact you regarding your options. Also let me know your name, address and phone numbers please. Hope this helps.

I agree, with most companies you have to bypass the middle man

Glenn will make it right. Mad Dog
