    i have a job i looked at

yesterday. large home currently oil fired steam. using a weil mclain blue with a beckett burner. 15 years old or so. they called to convert to natural gas to "save money". but thats another story. they have a porch area that is now finished off. good windows, insulation etc.

i just wanted some feed back from the crew here. i have two 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 tees over by this area. they said they tried radiators years ago before they insulated and they didnt work well. basic system is 2 1/2 mains, one 63' and one 43'. the 2 is about 40'. all have the main vents etc. once i do the heat load on the room i dont see a problem with adding two steam rads.

whats your guys take and if anyone wants to give me a guess on what they would charge it would be appreciated...send price via e-mail. i have a number just want to see how close i am to u guys.

    Yanks....oh sorry boston fans
    Thanks
    paul

You need to check the existing radiation load

that is connected to each main. If the total load won't exceed 386 square feet on a 2-inch main or 635 for a 2-1/2-inch main, you should be OK. Make sure the runouts are properly sized and pitched.
