Steam baseboard heat
If you want to avoid problems pipe the base board in as two pipe steam. Connect the return into the wet return or if you have a dry retrun connect the return to thr return by usind a water seal.
When you cut the dry return face the bull of "T" connection down. As you run the return up to the radiator a pocket that collects water will be formed. that isd the water seal. The water seal prevents steam from traveling up the retrun line into the convector.
You can pipe a separate return line from the outlet of the base board unit. You have a choice where you will install a vent valve.
The vent valve can be installed at the base board convector or install it on the return in the basement.
If you install it on the retrun in the basement make sure it is well above the steam main.

Steam baseboard radiators
With steam baseboard heat being a 2 pipe system, is it possible to incorporate it into a 1 pipe system? Or, is it possible to use it as a 1 pipe system by using the lower entry hole as the feed and return (cap the top entry hole and use a vent at the opposite end of the baseboard)?0
