It's in the 12th chapter of the gospel of Luke in the New Testament; verses 15 to 21. I won't spoil it by adding any commentary, but check it out. You can read it in less than one minute. Thanks for posting. That is SO incredible.Kevin

Out with the old, in with the new. This $8M home is less than 10 years old. This photo shows less than 1/2 of the original home still standing. They are tearing it down to the ground to build something bigger and better. -DF

Here is the foundation of the new house going up across the pond. An art gallery will be built on the site on the old home. We will also be doing an art studio and guest house. We will be on this one for the next three to four years.
The main house will be all radiant. We are installing four 500k Thermal Solutions modulating boilers, three indirect tanks, and 9500 sq. ft. of snowmelt. I will post photos as this one progresses. -DF

are you kidding me....
what a waste. Didn't just want to move? I hope they did some salvage work in inside. Were they the original owners? kpc0 -
Kevin,
It is the same owner (but different wife!). He owns 60 acres of prime real estate in Potomac, MD. Most of the salvagable materials were donated to charity. You know the Golden Rule: He who has the gold makes the rules. -DF

That looks like REAL slate--not the rubber imitation stuff. Hard to tell, but it doesn't look like the "cheap" Pennsylvania variety. Terned flashings and snow guards (likely bronze) as well.
The roofer is either crying to see his job that should have lasted a century (or more) destroyed or counting his fortunes for the replacement.
I don't know if I could bear working for such a wasteful person, let alone doing a good job for them.0 -
All i can say is
