water boiler steaming

Yesterday I came across a Weil Mclain CG-7 (175,000 btu) that has cast iron radiator for heating the house and radiant for heating the master bath. Both are separate zone.
The Radiant is just using a 3 way mixing valve to temper down the water. (there is only one loop).I dont how many feet. The job was done by another contractor that is long gone.
When the radiant zone calls for heat, the water flow in the boiler is not adquate enough to remove the heat put off by the boiler.
How would you guys fix this? Primary/secondary or have the thermostat turn just the pump on, so the radiant will use the residual heat in the system. Thanks Tom K

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but

yes, it should be wired to run the circulator first, if boiler water is warm enough, the boiler won't fire. With a properly-placed aquastat, the boiler will stop and start as needed. I think you said it was a steam boiler. That aquastat should shut cut power to the burner at around 180. If it doesn't you will be making steam when you don't want it. Also, when steam is called for, it will override that aquastat. Hope this helps, Mad Dog

Mad Dog. The problem is that the boiler is so large for the small radiant zone that it is tring to heat that water in the boiler turns to steam. The system has a Honeywell outdoor temperture reset control and was allowing the main house to heat to 145. If both zones run there is no problem. Just with the radiant. Does that help clear things up. Thanks for your help. Tom K
