\"Lifestone\" shower stall and sink

Iam considering a Lifestone bathroom. The shower and sink looks like marble, but it is not. It looks great in the showroom and quite expensive. Have any of you guys worked with it? Does it crack easily, does it hold up? Any opinions would be appriciated.
Thanks, Jack

Website to check
Jack, most of us here deal with heating primarily, so there might not be a lot of available responses to your question. I can suggest another website that might be of greater help to you as it is full of plumbers. It is:
http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/plumbing/
Hope this might be of some help to you.

checked it out
There's a decided lack of respect for professional plumbers on that site & I wouldn't waste my time there.
Add to that the DIY fixture sale links & if you're a bloke trying to make a living in the trades, that's not the place to hang out and share knowledge.
That'd be like Dan allowing shingles being placed by internet hucksters on this site for radiant & hydronic sales.
This plumber prefers to hang out here where homeowner and contractor alike share a higher level of respect for one another.

Well said Dave
I got the same feeling from that forum.
It seemed to me the people responding to inquirys were just Trollin & bragging.
Just an observation

I'm not advocating that site as a point of definitive information. It is just that there are a bunch of homeowners that have had exposure to a wide variety of product and have some very vocal opinions about it. I certainly agree that it is not a place for a legitimate contractor to be involved with. (well, maybe to learn how cheap and misguided some homeowners really are!) Sorry if I left any other impression.

Can't find much info on it. Not certain what makes it different than "normal" cultured marble other than it appears it may be post-formed like Corian.
You might want to ask at www.plbg.com People there seem generally helpful and not particularly prone to self-promotion.0 -
no offense taken
Don,
I was pretty dismayed by the posts there & shocked by the pervasive attitudes that plumbers don't deserve to make a profit and that plumbing is so simple anyone can do it.
The thread asking if there are any plumbers on the board was astounding. I was tempted to ask her if she budgets her paychecks and draw the anology of her spending money representing her "gross profit" and ask how she'd feel if her boss decided she should only be paid what's required for her to break even each week. But after reading most of the replies, it became obvious that few, if any, of those posting would "get it". No doubt she'd demand middle of the night service from the very same folks who she feels don't deserve to earn a profit.
PAH is sorely tempted to take his turn at stirring the pot on that site!(G) I signed up last night for access & suspect the e-mailed password awaits me at the work computer.
