I've read "Primary/Secondary pumping made easy" and understand a few of the different piping configurations, but what's the technical name for the one in the drawing? What are pluses and minuses of piping this way? I know there would have to be a mixing valve on the radiant and I guess each loop pump would have to be sized for the loop, boiler and all the piping to and from. Would there be a problem with 1 loop running and affecting others? All loops would be supplied the same temp water I assume? Thanks for any responses- just trying to understand!!!

That's a basic multizone system.
The radiant pump will go on the mixing valve's outlet port, not either inlet port. Flocheks on the zones keep the off zones from having flow.

So....
What your saying about the Mixing valve is that you would be pulling water through both inlets by having the pump on the outlet of the mixing valve??0 -
