HOT AIR HEAT CONTROLS

My neighbor has an older house with an equally old hot air heating system. I think the manufacturer is Lumitrol. On the unit itself is a control box for the burner and blower, possibly a temp. range adjustment. It seems to be giving the unit some trouble running correctly. I haven't found any info about this company. How can they get a replacement controller?

Honeywell will probably have a replacement. You'll need to know the correct model # of the controller or exactly what it does. It's probably the fan limit control.

Thanks. It's a dual control, one for heat and the other for the fan. Can I check the Honeywell website for something like this?

You will most likely need to remove the control to measure the length of insertion before anyone can help you. Unfortunately the manufacturers of these controls gave each OEM a different part number and somewhere down the line we realize that we need cross referencing to these but it was too late. Please be careful when replacing this unit as it may have delay timing built into it and if the incorrect timing is selected you could be putting these people in a potentially dangerous situation.
