Old eyeglasses

When my daughter, Kelly, was living in Ireland last year and working with the poor, Andrew was one of her roommates. I thought we'd be able to help out with some old eyeglasses. Thanks:

As you know I am teaching the 9th grade at Trinity High School this year. I love my classes and my students. Each year our school has a year long Spirit point competition, much like the competition the houses have for points in Harry Potter. As the freshmen theology teacher I have taken it as my job to excite and enthuse the students about school and the competitions. They are awesome and attack every day and project with complete dedication and excitement. As freshmen, most school competitions are rigged against them, including most recently our pep rally were I organized the freshmen pep rally events. We entered our gym to theme of jaws, with shark costumes abounding, 250 mylar shark balloons hovering over us, water waves flowing and the entire freshmen class wearing "shark attack" capes. Shark Attack is of course my saying from class with which all my students chant "Shark attack, shark attack, shark attack" three times.

So where do you come in? where is my pointless story going? My freshmen are going to win this competition or go down trying. All the teachers and upperclassmen say it can't be done. I want to make it happen for all those that have had obstacles put in their way. i want them to win because no one should ever say it can't be done. Well our next event is the collection of old eye or reading glasses for the lions club. I am trying to collect 1,000 pairs by October 30th. If you could check your homes and ask around for old eyeglasses and reading glasses and send them to me at <B>Box 1758, 100 saint anselm drive, manchester nh 03102</B> by Oct. 30th. I would greatly appreciate it as would the men, women and children in third-world countries who will be given the gift of sight for the first time.
