Morton Grove, IL.October 10, 2003 - A new bulletin that describes the benefits of isolation flanges has been published by Bell & Gossett.
The bulletin (A-117A) explains the isolation flange's specifications and operating data, which include maximum working pressure and maximum operating temperature, as well as installation suggestions. Also identified are the numerous benefits of the product such as easy service and replacement of the circulator without the need to drain the system. The bulletin highlights B&G's free-floating design that allows the flange to rotate, eliminating the need to align the bolt holes of the flanges when installing to the system piping.
An informative 4-color chart allows engineers and contractors to review the various sizes and materials that are available. Available in 3/4", 1" and 1-1/4" NPT and sweat connections, the flanges allow easy installation, service and replacement of the circulator. The isolation flanges may be used with all brands of circulators including Bell & Gossett's NRF, NBF and SSF wet rotors, Series PL, Series 100, HV, PR and LR circulators.
The isolation flanges described in the bulletin utilize a standard 90-degree-turn ball valve and long handle for ease of operation. The non-ferrous wetted internal components make the isolation flanges ideal for hydronic heating and potable water systems.

Real nice
I did see some samples at ISH last week. The even have plated nuts and bolts included. Much better than the plain steel ones that rust.
It's been about 20 years or so since B&G has offered iso flanges! They have a first class product here.

Good Looking
But--I prefer uni-body construction -I don,t care for metal to metal seal point's,,, Webstone ISO valve is a proven winner and now they have purge option....0
