in THE MAIN WALL
I was getting outrageous bills last winter. The heating/cooling contractor says he updated my boiler. Retrofit a part to keep the boiler from running constantly. I'm not sure i want to run it at all, but my wife is always cold. will rigging the boiler up to run only when the house cools down to a certain temperature (which will make it work like forced air) make a HUGE difference in my heating bills. The contractor says i will see a noticeable difference. Is he telling me right?

    sounds like...

    it was wired as a tankless set up and was switched to run as a cold start.It might help a little....how about some more details...oil? gas? age of house? insulation and window tightness? Your hot water must not be off the boiler. The best boiler in the world will stillgive you higher heat bills if the house is not well insulated and weatherstripped. kpc
