What is the lowest boiler water supply temperature you guys are using for Indirects? Or is everyone using hot water priority and increasing boiler temperature to 180F.
Does anyone know what manufacturers of indirect are recommending?
Please do not argue use or non-use of indirects.
Application is commericial building with two 2,000 MBH boilers which are currently operating with OSA reset down to 150 Supply temp. Currently no priority.

I have....
always used the ramp up to 180F. Most of the htg. season you are always below design so in order to not run out of hot water you you would have to have a very large tank to satisfy the useage. Recovery might be a problem otherwise. kpc0 -
depends
on the rate of exchange you can live with. Check with the tank manufacture for rates at that input temperature.
Certainly it could be done at 150 but not quickly.
