Rheem hot air unit! I took the unit apart for a good cleaning-Took the gun out then the chamber... The chamber sits on the exchanger with some legs and bolts to the main unit with some nuts. The chamber is that white asbestos material.. I notice that the chamber has some splits and cracks and it took all of about 5 minutes to take out i thought i could maybe replace it with new... Thanks for any help! I know about a wet pack but i simply would like new...

    chamber replacement

Call rheem's cust support. They should offer a replacement kit. I deal with Olsen exclusively for oil and they do. Give it a try.

    Good luck.

    OIL QUESTION

I have a Rheem Hot air system with a becket gun.. My oil tank is outside above ground (Its new) my question is-When the gun stops firing and shuts down-what are the chances that the 275 gal tank of oil could drain past the pump into the chamber when its not running? Just wondering becaue my tank is much higher then the rheem unit in my basement! Thanks! MARK

As long as the built in check valve on the fuel pump checks out ok you should have no problems. As a double safety, you might want to install a solenoid valve as a backup on the pump.

    DELAYED OIL VALVE

I understand how the delayed oil valve works-My question is--When there is no power going to the valve wouldnt it work like a OSV valve--In other words when the valve isnt powered--can oil get past the valve? I would think not...

    Thanks for any help...... MARK
