Cast FHW rads in a steam system

Has some elegant steam Rads ( Not connected at the top) over the years, many of these rads must have leaked. some were replaced with plain steam rads, but others were replaced with hot water rads. ( connected at bottom and top of sections) They seem to heat ok. Is this bad? If another starts to leak can I use a hit water rad?

old rads
Yes, you can use the "hot water type" rads for steam. As long as they are properly installed.
