Is a LWC required for all new hot water boilers or only if there is radiation below the level of the boiler. I am in New Jersey.

I am in....
New Hampshire so I am not sure of code requirements...They are not state required on residential installs....However that being said they are a very good idea...period. I almost always use them regardless of location of baseboard/rads. Wierd things can happen out there the extra 75 bucks or so lets you sleep better. kpc0 -

yes sorry to say that is what they want. code does not really state this. but in jersey that is the deal.

Yes indeed
New York and New Jersey require A LWCO on all steam and hot water heating systems now. The law changed this year.
