You need to disconnect the springloaded check and take a peek inside to find the problem .. Teflon tape , dirt , checkvalve inards comming apart or maybe too light of a spring for the job. A flow valve is a check that uses a weighted seat to hold back a flow . This is a valve that I perfer..... Sometimes you may need two valves to do the job. These valve need to hold back the forces of rising and falling water currents within the system.....

    Force Air Hydronics

I just started at this company and the are using a water heater and coil to heat homes with. My question is why are the check vavles failing on these systems, these system have a decated water piping form the tank to a circ.pump then a check to the coil and back to the tank. The check valves are spring loaded, the coils are sitting on top of the Air handler for the A/C system. The Homeowners love the systems but I'm having trouble with this simple setup, Where do I start on good basic books. Thanks Roger
