Solar dryers

When I was a kid I saw an article about how to build a solar clothes dryer. I got really excited. I was tired of hanging what seemed to be about a hundred socks on clothes line each week in the winter to dry. (4 younger brothers = lots of socks). So I turned to this article to save me from all of those freezing socks. It turns out that the article was about a clothes lines. Disappointment set in and has been there for almost twenty years. Until yesterday I talked with an installer who has connected two conventional clothes dryers to solar air panels making them solar dryers. It has got me thinking about "solar clothes dryers" again.
