Modulating the boiler input based on return water temp? Or just switching the burner off and on based on an aquastat working with the return water temp? What brings this question to your mind? What boiler(s) are you working with and are you resetting water temp based on outdoor air at present?

    I would like to hear input on:

    contolling boiler setpoint from return water sensor in secondary return piping of primary/secondary commercial hydronic application no DHW included.

    modulating boiler on return. OA Reset is present. In this case Lochinvar IF 2 million btuh ip. Constant Flow Primary. Variable Flow Secondary (VFD)
