Cleaning procedure for retubed Steam boiler
Bill_11
Member Posts: 9
Lost Art of Steam recommends 1 lb TSP, 1 lb caustic soda per 50 gallons for new system. Retubed Boiler has 1200 gallons, shall I use the same formula?
Any other ideas / chemicals?
Thanks

Bill, the best thing to do
is check with the boiler manufacturer. They likely have their own procedures which should be followed closely.
If the manufacturer is no longer in business, I'd look for information on a comparable type of steel boiler. I believe the ones in Lost Art were all cast-iron.
