any one have the formula for figuring expansion tank size? It appeared once in John s.'s column, but I'm filing challenged, and now I've got to keep a run amok engineer from savaging a 2.8 million btu system and beat him to find a solution and stay within HUD limits. 'd be obliged.Tnaks

no,Mike E.'s article did get past the thirteenth fl, where the modular boilers are @2.8 million btu, some engineer says my BIG 125 gal ASME bladder tank is not enough,didnt show his calc, doesnt know system volume( lots of 3to 3/4 pipe in walls)and I want to throw F=(y/z)x ? at him.0 -
I was told by the Bell and Gossett guys years ago
BTU x .02 divided by temp example 135,000 btu x .02=2700
then divided by 180 deg water temp = 15 gal tank0 -
