Favorites ....so far this year,
Would have to go to the Rigid Propress. Next would be the Amigo2 pipe threader, and last but one of the most used, would be the bitchin' threaded rod cutter.(Thanks Scott!) Between these 3 tools, my guess on saved man hours would be astounding. Chris0 -
what kind if
of threaded rod cutter is it? How many sizes can it do? I've been trying to get information on the one Rems makes but so far none of my suppliers has come up with anything.0 -

My favorite has got to be Pro Press as well. You're either a pro press junkie or a soldering flunkie! I can't wait to get the new cordless rigs. Stock your trucks with pro press and you'll never look back.

REMS Threaded Rod
it only takes 3/8". It's a Cool Tool. Ask Hot Rod. Got mine several months ago and love it.

Mr. Versatility
Treat yourself to a pair of the German made pliers and throw your channellocks away. Knipex brand Cobras (easier adjusting than the cheaper knipex "alligator" model) will never pinch your hand, and they grip like a pipe wrench.
They grip hex fittings well without distortion and minimal marking, as well as round stuff.
Buy the tiny 7" size to keep in the cab and admire, put a couple 16"s in your tool box. About $60.00 each for the big ones, but worth every penny and cheap compared to some handy tools you won't use every day. Kevin

We got ours from the same rep who sold us the Rems threader. I am not sure its made by Rems.
Either way it is a "way cool" tool.

plasma
We're doing a spiral duct job & our plasma cutter takes the drudgery out of cutting in takeoffs or cutting down the trunk line lengths.

120 volt stick welder
I have and like my 120 volt Lincoln wire feeder but for lightness the Miller solid state DC stick unit at 120 volts is just great. Pricy but ultra light and works great with 1/8 5P and 3/32 7018. You won't believe how nice these weld unless you try one.0 -
Call me a hillbilly
Yes, I like the high tech tools as well; they make my job a lot easier, but my most favorite tool is the one sitting alone on my tailgate.
I've posted this before; does anyone remember what it is? Maybe you have one of them yourself, but as far as I know, they don't make them anymore.
