Condensation Problem

I've heard that forced air "cooling" (a/c) is sometimes used when hydronic radiation is used for "heating". That what I did. My stratigy was to put some of the cooling duct system in a ventilated attic. In the winter time condensation on inside of the cooling duct supports a nasty growth of mold. I've considered isolating the attic section of duct from the warmer living space. Seems to me this would "cure" the problem. Does anyone know of parts to do this or of another technique? Either way I suspect I'm in for some "custom fabrication".
I saw the mold growth last year. Now it seems to be gone. Is it, or do I have to do some cleaning?
Thanks for considering, even if you don't reply.

    Condensation

    Dave,

Hopefuly you have supply registers that can be closed realy tight. If this is the case, close them. If you have filter grilles in the house for return air, take out the filter and replace with a heavy piece of cardboard.

this will stop the warm air in the living space, from rising into the cool attic and condensing.

    hope this helps

    condensation

I have hot water baseboard heating with AC provided by air handlers in the attic. During winter, I close the supply registers tight, remove the air filter on the return and replace it with a 1" thick piece of styrofoam. No condensation or mold problems for 25 plus years. Hope this helps.
