    condensation

What would cause a thin oily looking substance to condense on surfaces in a seldom used cabin? The owners were away when the oil burner failed and they think this caused it. I've never seen an oil burner do this. I was wondering if they had a new carpeting that was off-gassing. The heat was set low. The cabin, without ventilation as no one was there, warmed up during the day and chilled at night. The cabin was recently acquired which is why I think they might have a new carpet. They aren't talking to me.

Uninvited "guests" who are "cooking" things?

The chemical processes used to make certain substances have some really strange effects...at least that's what police tell me.
