I could use you guys collective advice. I have a customer that is really interested in a Dunkirk Quantum 90 boiler for their home... problem is, heat loss is 128,000 per hour. Largest Quantum currently is 100K in, 90K out. Larger one coming out later this fall, maybe not soon enough to suit the homeowner. I think I might need to line up a "plan B" that would be something similar. Modest in cost, 90%.. output in the 150K range. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Luke Lefever

No cost saving
over getting a WM Ultra or Munchkin (still a bit pricey) by buying, piping and controlling 2 boilers. How about the wall hungs: Trinity from NY Thermal, MZ Boiler from Monitor Products? You will find other lower cost models but not at the 90% efficency range.0 -
Munchkin
You said the heat loss is 128k, but you want a boiler with 150k.
Why?
A Munchkin 140m would take care of that home and with the Vision 1 control you have direct outdoor reset.

I agree
The Munchkin would be my choice too. WW

Have you looked at the Monitor MZ 40C
which could easily handle that heat loss. It's also fully condensing, wall hung, and utilizes a dual burner configuration.
It also has a 20 year history of successful installations.

I am very familiar with the MZ boilers, I have a 25C heating my home. Customer likes MZ- but can't spend that much money.... Possibly would consider Trinity or Munchkin... anyone know who is a distributor for Munchkin in Northern Indiana? Thanks, Luke0
