Does 6" spacing of perimeter tubing in a radiant slab residence make sense in a northern climate?

Sure
Espcially there. I usually like to see between 6 to 9" OC in all residentially used buildings or rooms all the way across. Maybe 12" in a garage, but even that is pushing it. Tubing is cheap and the more you have the lower the water temperature can be and therefore higher efficiency.
Hope this helps.
