Looking for suggestions/ experiences with any high efficiency oil burning, forced air furnaces. If the customer elects not to go high-efficiency, we would likely use equipment from Thermo-Pride. Your input would be helpful. thanks in advance, Luke

    Whats not efficient

about an oil fired Thermo Pride? i think they have some of the highest efficiencies available on an oil fired furnace.

Heat exchanger and firebox are real rugged. Good lifetime warranty.

I have installed quite a few and serviced hundreds. They stand up.

    All the best,

    Robert

My company has installed thousands of thermo-flo/williamson over the years, we prefer beckett burners due to cost advantage. all ussually test out around 84% on average. thick, long lived Heat exchanger, good warranty, excellent price hundreds less then thermo-pride which is also an excellant product. mostly a business/profit decision. We've tried many and have stuck with thermo-flo. we're a lennox dealer and put in all there models from of-4 to the o-23 but there again it's cost and profit. If I would be putting it in my house, I'd put in a hydro air coil combo with a buderus boiler, mix in a little radaint, add the extra bells and whistles on the air side and total indoor air Qualty and you have the best of both worlds, with the best effiency.

    ThermoPride

With an F series Riello hung on it. We typically see combustion efficiencies in the 85-86.5% range provided the duct system is adequate. We've used the standard Beckett burners but find that efficiency is in the 82% range with them. I personally have never seen a Riello under 84% and have had some with really good airflow that have hit condensing territory. Had to back them off, CO2 was running in the high 14% range.

    Yep

Thermo-Pride is the best, hands down. Their heat exchangers are like sherman tanks and extremely eff. I've seen some get flooded several times on the shoreline and their still not rotting out.
