Prayers

...about 3000 Residents in Chase, BC and another 80 Residents in Kelowna, BC that had to evacuate their homes within the last 24 hours due to terrible fires raging outside of those communities. Lets hope the fire takes a turn to our best and leave those homes left behind unharmed.

My prayers also include those poor people involved in WA and MT. Fire is sure taking its toll this year.
Our Province alone has more than 1000 fires burning right now.

Here are some links about the fire just outside of my Hometown.

Keep in mind that those pictures are over a day old and the fire has grown to more than double the size in the last 24 hours alone. Looking at about 22-2500Ha.

    It appears that..

...the first cabins have fallen just outside of Kelowna, BC.

Houses in the neighbourhood of Chase, BC have burned as well. The weather remains hot and dry with gusty winds. No change in sight.

    New pictures and videos...

...of our fire that just caused a number of new evacuations. I understand that cabins have been lost. The crews are trying to beat darkness to prevent loss of more homes.

    Now we are looking at...

...a blaze that has spread more than double its size over night. Looking at a 6300Ha mess. More than 5000 people don't know right now if they will have a home in a day or two.

Thanks Dan, Wayne and all others who have...

...been sending emails. We are all well. Smoked out, but well. No worries.

The parts that are affected are parts outside of the city limits or right on the border line.

Fire has now gone from 6300Ha to 11000Ha in the last 6 hours alone. No news on lost buildings yet, so there is still hope...
The Water Bombers are on the ground due to heavy smoke in the valley.
