    I wish to

Commend, Dan & Invision on a job well done , keeping this site up and functioning during the blackout. Dan , I hope you & your family weathered the blackout without too much discomfort. I would also like to extend that to all those affected by the loss of power & hope we can learn from this
to avoid future problems. I would surely think there were some unsung heroes, especially in the medical profession during this disruption, so a huge thanks to all those who offered aid to anyone during this time.

    Heck,

we just sat in the yard, had a fire with the neighbors, drank some wine and looked at the stars, which you usually can't see here on the Isle of Long. Quite a party.

My daughter, Meg, works for New York Cares in Manhattan and she wound up walking to Queens to stay with a friend. Took her about 2-1/2 hours, over the 59th Street Bridge (Feeling Groovy) but she had good company, about a half-million other New Yorkers.

New York, New York. So nice they named it twice.

Thanks for the good vibes, Jim.
    Retired and loving it.

The part i couldnt figure out

was when the Mayor was on TV telling everyone to turn of the Air Conditioners, lights etc. Who was gonna see him? No one he was talking to had power. Is it just me, or is addressing the city that is suffering from a blackout, on television, just a little foolish?

    Funny Thought

But rememeber that press conference goes out over the radio also. Shutting things off helps with the surge when it comes back on.

Now, why do they call it rush hour when nothings moving ?
