A few months ago someone was talking about textbooks and mentioned "Building Technology, Mechanical & Electrical Systems" by Benjamin Stein. I taught my first college class last year in the Building Construction Technology Dept. at the local C.C. called "Residential Systems". It's an overview of what makes a building a machine (No, it's NOT a homeowner how to!), the basics of electric, plumbing and HVAC systems and how they connect to city services. My original text was Awwffuul!!!, praised aluminum wire, described hydronics as dead and forgotten, etc. Well, guys the new text is approved, it's super and I would never have found it without someone bringing it up. I also bought a copy of the Watts Water Heater Relief Valve tape, it should liven things up when I show an overhead of the woman with a waterheater hole in her roof. Whoever you were, Thanks Again!!!
