Injection pumping

New to radiant & injection pumping...
Installing a system that will have 5 radiant zones, 1 hi-temp copper baseboard, and indirect DHW. Three of the radiant zones are designed for same supply temperature. Does this mean I can have just 3 injection pumps-one for all 3 zones of same temp, and the other two?

Comments

  • If the other two

are designed for the same temperature or reset ratio, then you'll have:

Injection system #1: 3 zones radiant

Injection system #2: 2 zones radiant

    Injection system #3: baseboard

It's too bad the Munchkin Vision II control is not available yet since this is exactly what it's meant to do, i.e. multiple temperature zoning w/ outdoor reset.

    tekmar 363

Check out tekmar's 363 control, this control has all you
will need. Excellent piping and wiring diagrams to chose from. We hooked up a light bulb in series 120v to the injection pump from the tekmar, just for fun, was neat to watch. Good Luck

    Three temp system.

Take a look at the attached pdf file.

It show your two hi temp zones (BB and Indirect) Injection for radiant and then a manual mixing valve for the other radiant temp.

    or a 371?

    This thread:

Has some pictures and description of a great looking system by Boilerpro using a Tekmar 371 that does just about what you want. It has two lower temps off of one injection controller but could easily be modified for three.

    Give me a call

Call me on Monday and I will help you design this system. I can shoiw you how to figure out the flows(injection rates) pump selection, pipe sizing, etc. We can then come up with piping and wiring diagram.
