Gone fishin,

instead of just awishing. Leaving Friday morning to the great northern woods of upstate NY. Can't wait. This is my first vacation in 2 years. My only break last year was a long weekend bookended around Wetstock I. Going to a Bullroast/family reunion up near the St. Laurence River between Canton and Potsdam. It is the 200 year celebration of the farm that my Mother nad her 12 siblings grew up in. It's a thousand acre farm, and our ancestor Benjamin Stewart bought it for 205 dollars cash. A high roller back in 1803. Then it's off to Saranac lake for fishing & camping. Here's a picture I took from our campsite 2 years ago. See you in 9 days.

Have a blast.....

it has to be better than DC... I was down there last weekend to see my brother in law and his wife... stayed in Crystal City.....went to Wolf Trap to see the National Orchestra (Bug's Bunny on Broadway} Sat. night... was a great experience!!!
Went to Arlington Cemetery on Sun. another very moving experience!!!!
But,.... Boy was I glad to get back to hickville sun. eve.!!!!

By the way???? How far underground is the Roslyn station of the Metro???? That escalator took forever to ride to the top!!!!!!!

I don't know how far underground the Crystal city Metro is but I read somewhere at least for a while it was the Worlds longest escalator. Next time down you should visit the Vietnam memorial. It had an impact on me like no other memorial ever has. It's a real reality check for your aditude ajustment mechanism. WW

Hope you can stay dry. Rain a daily occurrence here this year (WNY). Still better than a city. Just back from Scout camp and a wedding last week and paying for it now. Out til 9:30 or so every night this week.

I'm jealous Wayne...thats a great part of NYS

We used to go up to The Huge SAranac Lake Rugby Tournament in August every year. Try to catch a few matches. As you know the ruggers take over the town for the week. I miss my Rugby years - but my body doesn't . scrum down! Mad Dog
