I'm doing a Radiant floor heat system, for a 3500 sq ft home . The job requires three manifolds . I'm using wirsbo tel stats and keeping all my loops between 200-250 feet long. The manifolds are located through out the home. How do I size my circulator.

    pump sizing

you need to now the flow requirements of each circuit. This is based on the the BTU/hr and the Delta-T. If you have the flow requirements (GPM needed) for each manifold you can divide that by the number of circuits on that manifold. This will give you your needed GPM for that circuit. You then need to take that GPM and look at a pressure drop chart for the size pex you are using. It will either tell you the pressure drop per/ft or per/100'. Adjust this for your actual length and that will be the needed head for that manifold. Then add the pressure drop for the piping, valves, and fittings that run to that manifold.

Keep in mind that the flow requirement for the pump will be the total of all the circuits on the manifold and not just one.

    Hope this helps.
