Hey, thanks for the pic. That's the level of technology I had in mind. Someone else read my post and sent me an e-mail offering one for only $350. Not for me.

    Homemade tubing spooler

I've seen in the past an idea for building a tubing spooler out of a piece of plywood, some kind of cheap turntable bearing, and a 5-gal. bucket. Needs to be suitable for setting on floor or hanging from joists. Anyone know the one I'm talking about, or have any other ideas for making one, or a cheap source for ready-made?

    Home grown uncoiler

Here's one I built. I double-deckered it for 1/2 and 3/4 aquapex - which worked OK. Works much better as a single-roll uncoiler.

I think Wayco Wayne deserves the credit for one of the first postings.

    Best Regards

    Here's mine

I was sent pictures of one by someone else on the Wall. I lost the name when my hard drive crashed. I threw it together in about 20 minutes and it worked better than my Wirsbo uncoiler. I like your double decker. You obviously put more time into it than I did. WW

    I don't like mine

I wish I liked my Wirsbo uncoiler as much as you do! It's the only thing bad I've ever thought about those guys! (Ok, that and changing their thermostat design every other day.) Mine has a bad habit of hanging up so it won't spin as soon as you are as far away from it as you can get. It is also a finger pinching wonder when folding and transporting, but I'll take the blame for that part myself. Kevin
