spacepak high velocity air conditioning

we installed spacepak 31/2 ton unit with a bryant 10 seer rating. A licensed AC company installed line set and freon. First the condenser was going off on thermal overload so ac company checked lineset for kinks,dirt and checked proportioning valve inside the spacepak unit. No dirt/kinks found. Restarted equipment, air temperature cold through outlets but compressor keeps blowing electric circuit breaker in main panel. Any help would be appreciated

things to check

chk all high voltage connection from unit ,disconnect to the breaker box do a amp reading at the compressor and check your super heat and sub cooling at the condensing unit,chk your out door unit cond.fan and coil and see what your lra and fla are on the unit also chk your in coming voltage is the unit shutting off on start up or while it is running you may have voltage dips does this unit have short cyle timer and is it equipted with a hard start kit.you may just have a bad compressor internal over load .your unit was installed according to manafactors direction with all the clearances that they suggest,meaning your condensing isn,t up against your house or has it,s airflow across it,s coil limited by some factors like shrubs or deck over head if your a/c co mpany nis good they should be able to straighten it out i have bryant stuff and it always served me well are your lineset sized right good luck i hope i was of use

p.s. you may just have a bad breaker it,s been knon to happen and chk. your wire sixing and electrical info. for min. and max fuse and branch circuit on the condensing unit name plate good luck

10 SEER unit does not come with a hard start kit. The Space pack evaporator has an expansion valve so a hard start kit is required equipment. Get the start capacitor and relay kit from a bryant dealer. Dont use the quicky packaged ones they sell at supply houses. They are not as strong or dependable. WW
