Peerless Boilers

Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with the installation of Peerless Boilers. My supplier swears by them and I have never installed a Peerless, just mainly Burnham. I'm thinking of trying one on an oil fired, hot water application. PV-5 175000 BTU. Thanks in advance for any input. Hector

    Peerless

is a good boiler, HeavyP. As always, if you follow the installation manual you can't go wrong.

    Peerless

Peerless makes a good boiler and they have always had good castings. Some manufacturers have tried to incress profit by thining the cast iron. This causes the boiler to split and a loss of profit. I can't recall ever seeing one go.

Excellent track record with the Peerless

We installed mainly the ECT and WBV in the past . Its about all we used for about 14 years and probably close to 1500 installs . They are built to last , installer friendly , and very economical . I have a WBV in my own home for about 7 years and haven't had a problem yet . I'm not familiar with the PV line though . At 175,000 BTU I would try the ECT line - it's a great boiler for hot water or steam .

    Peerless

Exept for a small problem in the mid 80s I found peerless to be a very reliable boiler. I have had good luck with it especially with the riello burner.
