Im redoing the bathroom in my house. Im going to replace the baseboard but I want something different. I don't want the same old looking baseboard. Is there any new types of baseboard that's slim, will take 180 deg. water and wont restrict the rest of the line.
Thanks,
Jon

Theres fin type board on the same loop. Can you mix cast and fin?0 -

You really shouldn't mix
cast-iron and fin-tube on the same zone. They behave very differently.
You might also consider a stand-up fin-tube convector, which could be recessed into the wall.

Try this
If you can zone the bath[s] then you can use what you want. Hook up a programmable t-stat and your bath is warm
and cozy when you wake up in the a.m. and off the rest of the day. I've been lucky in both my houses and was able to get to the pipes without much hassle. I love cast iron in the bath because it really feels warmer, because it is.

The Runtal has 1/2 inch supply and returns. is it ok to reduce to 1/2 on a 3/4 inch single loop? This loop only supplies my bedroom and master bath.0
