NEW NOISE CONTROL GUIDELINES BULLETIN

CHICAGO. July 17, 2003 - Hoffman Specialty, a unit of ITT Industries, has published new guidelines for contractors and engineers regarding noise control in steam pressure regulator systems. The new publication, "Series 2000 Pressure and/or Temperature Steam Regulator Noise Control Guidelines," (HS-907) provides information on how to maintain healthy noise levels around steam regulators.

The twelve-page, two-color publication reviews noise attenuation piping practices and explains how to reduce pressure regulator noise levels. It also presents the characteristics and benefits of the different types of noise attenuation devices, and explains how they work. Included is a list of manufacturers of such devices, their model numbers, ordering procedures, and installation instructions.
