choosing a new steam boiler

I agree... However I would check with my local codes. If you are above a certain BTUH in my area you are subject to annual inspections and your boiler must be commercially approved if it is not a single family dwelling.

choosing a new steam boiler
We need to purchase a new steam boiler for our 12,000 square foot apartment building. After measurements of radiators, etc. are taken - it might be a large residential or a small commercial boiler. I would appreciate any suggestions you have on which brands of steam boilers you would buy. Are there many different manufacturers making them? I have already checked for a local contractor through this web page - but none are near by. I just want to have as many facts as possible before we make any decisions. You have been so helpful in the past - thanks once again for your suggestions! Diane0 -
Many to choose from
Burnham, Peerless, Smith are what I see out west here. All three are excellent.

Plenty to choose from
like Alan said . We use Peerless , Weil Mclain and Burnham for our semi-commercial and commercial jobs , and all perform very well using steam . Which fuel are you using ?0
