handle spiffs for customers that recommend you to others?

I have one customer in particular that has sent me more work than ANY advertising I have done. I want to REALLY show my appreciation.

What do you guys do?

Mark H

  • I'll try

to make time to send them a postcard thanking them for the referral. If it's a contractor that I see often, I will take him out to lunch or if it's another customer, they will get a free service call.

2.A bottle of good scotch, rye, tequila, wine or whatever.

3.A box of good cigars (if he smokes)

4.If Jeff has any, a nice Munchkin jacket!

5.A limo ride & tickets to the Saratoga Racetrack

    offer to paint......

thier house and wash the car while your there!! that'll show your appreciation, if not perhaps a free hat with your company logo. really what works for me is fifty dullars gift certificate to olive garden which also works at red lobster (same co.??) A free meal or cup of coffee is always remebered, and don't forget pizza for the crew while pouring slabs with them tiny little tubes running through (thanks HR)

    Customer Spiffs

We offer our customers who give us a referal that leads to a sale for a replacement heating system an option of $50 or 2500 airline miles (they normally take the miles)

I have also given a $50 cert for a local seafood restaurant and 2 tickets to the movies for good customers and those occasional problem jobs that seem to need a little extra to make them happy again.

How about free tune-ups on their heating system, or a free multiple year service agreement on their heating system(if you do service agreements).Hector

    Nice ideas

Although depending on the personality involved don't let them get out of hand. Some folks have dignity and perspective, some don't. One thing I do periodically is bring a case of soda's to my most frequented supply house to show my appreciation for all their help and hard work. It is well appreciated and they make me feel like a big cheese. (My wife once made cookies for them but they somehow dissapeared before I got there.) ;) WW
