Thermostatic Mixing Valve

I need to replace my Taco 508 thermostatic mixing valve, unless someone has a recomendation on how to free up the valve (cold water valve?) below the element. I have replaced the element but it still binds up.
What is a good make/model? What should I stay away from?
I have a tankles coil, single family home, 2½ bath.
Thanks

You could try
Honeywell's (Sparco) AM1 series. Go to www.sparco-inc.com and check it out. Available from most Honeywell distributors.0 -

I too like the Honeywell mixer, but if you want to stay with the same style as the Taco 508, try the Watts 70A. Have had really good results with them. We've stopped using them just because we like the upgrade to the newer style mixers, some of which offer built-in checks and anti-scald protection. The Taco 508 and Watts 70A offer no anti-scald protection, so if that's important to you.....
