Over-floor heating??
Laura Lennox
Member Posts: 1
We have a very old low-ceiling kitchen, which we want to renovate. I would like to have York Stone flagstones as the flooring, but feel that we would need under-floor heating. The problem with this is that this part of our home is extremely old, has no foundations, and we cannot afford to dig down low enough in case we open up a 'can of worms'! Someone told me that they thought there was a system where you can have warm air blowing from underneath cupboards across the surface of the floor. Is there such a system, and if so is it any good? Any guidance/info would be gratefully received!
Thanks

Kickspace heater
I believe what your friend is describing is a kickspace heater. They are often used in kitchens and baths where wall space is limited by cabinets and the proper length of baseboard won't fit. If you already have a hot water boiler, it will work well. One manufacturer is Beacon/Morris but there are others.
